The RAF Red Arrows received its Public Display Authority licence which officially gives the team permission to fly its display or show.

This approval is formally renewed every year similar to the USAF Thunderbirds and means they will embark on their 50th Anniversary tour after the team leaves winter training in Cyprus.

The tailfin on the Hawk jets also received a new paint scheme especially for this remarkable anniversary.
