I don't think this drone was under anyone's tree Christmas morning. The U.S. Navy and Northrop Grumman Corporation have successfully flown the MQ-8C Fire Scout system for the first time off the guided-missile destroyer, USS Jason Dunham. The Dec. 16 test took place off the Virginia coast. In the second video from Northrop Grumman watch Coast Guard Research and Development Center scientists assess the MQ-8B Fire Scout, from the national security Coast Guard Cutter, USCGC Bertholf earlier this month.
