Already known for being the fastest commercial jet on the market, the Citation X+ must have felt a little competition with the Gulfstream 650. Revisiting the cross-country speed record for general aviation jet aircraft, the Citation X+ traversed the US in under five hours; 4hrs 52min, to be exact with an average speed of 486.2 knots.

Gulfstream briefly claimed the fastest jet title with the G650 reaching a speed of Mach 0.925 only for the Citation X+ to edge out the 650 with a speed of Mach 0.935.

Besides speed improvements, the Citation also boasts a max altitude of 51,000 feet and seating for 12 and a max range of 3,408 nm.
