Learn to Fly in Paradise - with Bohlke International Airways Flight School, St Croix United States Virgin Islands
You can get your wings in Paradise - and its a lot more affordable than you may think.
I work as Marketing Manager and Flight School Administrator for a full service FBO, Charter Fleet and Flight School called Bohlke International Airways. You can find us on a lump of rock out in the Caribbean (as we locals affectionately refer to our island of St Croix) in the United States Virgin Islands - 78 nautical miles south west of Puerto Rico - or a 2 1/2 hour flight from Miami.
If you are a US Citizen you can come to us with just a drivers license and get your wings. We also welcome international flight students and can easily help process you through the Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) so that you can get in the air fast.
At Bohlke International Airways we have a great passion to share our love of aviation by introducing new and established pilots to the always increasing rewards of flying.
Our CEO, Bill Bohlke Sr. won acclaim in the Seventies for establishing the first and only FAA and VA approved Flight School in the Caribbean. This quality of instruction and enthusiasm to share the skies continues today in our Flight School - our instructors have a combined experience of over thirty years.
We offer Private Pilot, Instrument, Multi-Engine, Commercial and ATP Courses, as well as Flight Instructor Courses and other FAA approved courses. Our method of teaching is designed to help you successfully complete your flight training, by providing you with exceptional ground school support and unparalleled hands-on flight training, with the added bonus of learning to fly in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Our two seater Diamond DA20 is a very student-friendly aircraft with sturdy landing gear and superior stability in the air. We also offer the four seater Diamond DA40, which with is Garmin G1000 glass cockpit is ideal for instrument training.
The runway on St Croix’s Henry E.Rohlson Airport is well maintained and long…over 10,000ft!
A runway this length, with no obstructions, situated in uncrowded Delta airspace, is unique in the islands and provides the low stress perfect training environment for students.
