Sean D. Tucker Is Hank In "Flight Of Passage" The Movie
This August, Henry Saine and Colin Ebeling announced they were making a short film based on Rinker Buck’s best-selling book Flight of Passage. Their company, Just Chorizo Productions, Inc., launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds and finished with just over 36,000 dollars.
For those who haven't read Flight Of Passage, writer Rinker Buck looks back more than 30 years to a summer when he and his brother Kern became the youngest duo to fly across America, from New Jersey to California. Having grown up in an aviation family, the two boys bought an old Piper Cub, restored it themselves, and set out on the grand journey. Buck is a great storyteller, and once you get airborne with the boys you find yourself absorbed in a story of adventure and family drama. And Flight of Passage is also an affecting look back to the summer of 1966, when the times seemed much less cynical and adventures much more enjoyable.
Learning to fly just a few years ago Colin Ebeling read the book and gave it to Henry Saine. They went on a mission to track down Rinker Buck and come to an agreement to make a film of his story.
Henry and Colin then set out to adapt the screenplay. In order to move to the next level, they decided a short film would be the best way to present the project to investors, actors and studios. The short will showcase some of the book's best moments, including a flying sequence shot by Bill Richards, one of Hollywood's best aerial cinematographers.
Sean D. Tucker has been cast as Hank the Stearman man (see photos below) a perfect fit as the story is all about the ability to create your own odyssey, to do something great and follow your life’s passion. Director Henry Saine put it this way, "You truly have the freedom to become your own hero, not just with flying, but with anything in life. It’s a really inspiring journey.” Rinker Buck will be played by Zach Callison. Kern Buck will be played by Joseph Schirle. (see photos below).
The team is currently shooting in upstate New York.
