“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.” - Leonardo da Vinci

This quote about flying by Leonardo da Vinci has held true since he made the famous statement. Flying intrigues, consumes, and mesmerizes people. Marion Cole had the ability to do the same through the use of aviation. Marion was a world famous aviator that had a passion for passing the art of flying on to future generations. Sadly, Marion passed away in 2011, but his legacy and passion for flight is continued through the Marion Cole Memorial Scholarship.

As I go to air shows throughout the United States, the message that I try to spread is: anyone can be a pilot; anyone can achieve their dreams, no matter what their age may be. For the longest time aviation has been an older person's hobby and job but my goal is to change that. The hardest thing for most people to overcome when wanting to get into aviation is finding the funding. As a young adult, this can be extra difficult. The Marion Cole Memorial Scholarship is a great way for a young adult to get their start in aviation.

The Marion Cole Memorial Scholarship is an aviation based scholarship that is specifically for young people wanting to get into aviation. To apply for the Marion Cole Memorial Scholarship you can go to:
