All air traffic controllers have a similar goal and that is the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of aircraft in the national airspace system. And although the job is very different between the tower, TRACON, and Center, we all have one thing that binds us---having one of those days.

Attached is an entertaining video I found while trolling, er...I mean exploring YouTube. In it you can hear the ground controller at New York's JFK airport through a handful of different scenarios. The video creator does a nice job of overlaying an airport diagram with the audio to give a better overall picture of what is going on.

So if you're having a rough day at work and you're taking some time for yourself by reading our stories here on ATA I say thanks! Now watch this short video and take comfort in knowing that you don't have to put up with chaos like this on a daily basis.

Unless you're a tower controller at a major airport. Then finish your break and head back to the boards!
