US Clinches Top Spot At FAI World Air Games

The 2015 edition of the FAI World Air Games was awarded to the United Arab Emirates for the first time and was held in Dubai from the 1st to the 12th of December. It featured 11 sports including aerobatics, model flying, ballooning, skydiving and 24 disciplines all conducted under Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) rules.

The United States of America clinched the top spot with a total of 12 medals, five gold, three silver and four bronze. That kept them ahead of France, Poland, Germany and Russia who filled the top five spots. Watch video from the exciting aerobatic sport below. In the powered category Rob Holland of the US finished third behind Olivier Masurel of France and Artur Kielak of Poland.

VIDEO 2 World Of Freesports Italy’s glider aerobatics hero, Luca Bertossio, took first place at the FAI World Air Games 2015 in Dubai. After three breath taking rounds in the aerobatic gliding competition, he has beaten Hungarian pilot Ferenc Toth in to second place. Premsyl Vavra, of the Czech Republic, claimed bronze.
