Cirrus Succumbs to Wake Turbulence via Blackhawk Rotorwash
A Cirrus SR-20 G2 was on final approach following the departure of a UH-60 Blackhawk when lingering rotor wash created a violent situation.
Reports suggest the pilot of the Cirrus walked away with only a few cuts and bruises. The incident occurred at an uncontrolled airport in Colorado.
Although the incident occurred on December 5, 2014, it remains a reminder of how powerful wake turbulence of any kind can be.
