Belly Landing At Palm Springs
A business jet with landing gear issues made an impressive belly landing at the Palm Springs International Airport in California yesterday.
Slides to a stop, loaded on a flatbed truck and runway re-opened within an hour. No injuries, good job by all.
Riverside County firefighters and officers with the Palm Springs Police Department managed the aftermath mid afternoon.
The jet circled the area burning off fuel for about an hour according to Executive Director of the Palm Springs International Airport Tom Nolan.
There were only two reported to be on board and no injuries were suffered. The long runway was closed for almost an hour and reopened after the aircraft was loaded onto a flatbed truck.
