Diesel Cessna 182 JT-A Makes Emergency Landing
Cessna's diesel 182 JT-A, stil in its certification process, was forced to make an emergency landing in a field due to an engine failure last Wednesday.
Cessna is still trying to figure out what happened to cause the engine failure. The pilot flying at the time reported that the "engine blew" necessitating an emergency landing in a field near the intersection of two roads outside Pretty Prairie, KS. The pilot was uninjured.
The 182 JT-A first flew in May and has flown over 200 hours during its certification process.
