Bono's Baggage Bails In Flight
A Learjet 60 flying U2 singer Bono and four of his friends lost a cargo door at about 15,000 feet last night. The flight originated from Dublin and was headed to Berlin when the mishap occurred over Germany. The plane landed safely and it was only then that the crew noticed the aircraft had lost its door. They told investigators that they noticed a rumble similar to turbulence during a right-hand turn on approach but felt no major change in how the plane was flying. There was no loss of pressure because the luggage compartment is not connected to the cabin. The door and two pieces of luggage have not been found.
