It has been a while since I've seen a Chinook helicopter demonstration but in my 30 years of narrating airshows I've never seen one like this. The Royal Air Force Chinook Display Team put on quite a performance at Royal Navy Air Station Yeovilton in the U.K. earlier this summer. Although the crew is seen waving often in the video I'm not so sure I'd be as happy with the ride LOL.

The demonstration took part during Air Day held at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, Saturday 11th July. It is the Royal Navy’s premier airshow.

The award-winning airshow attracts over 35,000 visitors, significant UK/Foreign military participation and support from the world’s leading aerospace companies. It won Gold at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2013 and Bronze at the national Visit England Awards for Excellence 2013.

The one day event featured over five hours of flying displays including fighter jets, historic warbirds, helicopters, formation display teams, aerobatics and culminated with a renowned Commando Assault Finale featuring troops, aircraft and pyrotechnics.
