Sean D. Tucker announced via Facebook that he has successfully reached the summit of Aconcagua in Argentina, the highest peak in the Americas.

Sean began climbing Aconcagua on January 29, in an effort to raise awareness of EAA's Young Eagles program, of which he recently became chairman.

He has been sending updates of his climb to Team Oracle and they have been sharing those updates via Sean's Facebook.

“You redefine yourself during journeys like these,” said Sean in one of his Facebook posts.

Before he left for Argentina, Sean spoke with All Things Aero about what he hoped to accomplish by summiting the mountain.

Sean and his team will now begin the 18 mile trek down Aconcagua and return to the city of Mendoza, Argentina.
