Patriots Jet Team Headlines Reno
The Patriots Jet Team headlined the airshow during the Reno Air Races on Friday.
The six-jet civilian jet team, flying their distinctive all black L-39s were highlighted against a dramatic sky as a thunderstorm began to move into the Reno Stead Airport.
Team owner Randy Howell elected to cut the performance short by a few minutes as lightning could be seen in the distance, giving spectators a chance to seek shelter.
The team returns to the skies Saturday and Sunday as the Reno Air Races celebrate their 50 year anniversary.
