Kirby Lands On The Vegas Strip!
While all eyes will be on the Fort Worth Texas Red Bull Air Race this weekend Kirby Chambliss did a touch and go at the season's last stop, Las Vegas. Seems he at least followed the rules of the road while on the ground as you can see in the Red Bull Air Race Video below.
VIDEO RED BULL AIR RACE: What’s a trip to Vegas without a stop at the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign? Red Bull Air Race pilot Kirby Chambliss put his own spin on the tradition by landing his Edge 540 race plane directly on the Las Vegas strip at the iconic sign. Chambliss then took off from Las Vegas Blvd. in spectacular fashion, ripping his plane into the air and trailing smoke behind him. Chambliss performed the feat ahead of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship, which is headed to the U.S. to finish out its eight race series. The two final stops will take place in Ft. Worth on September 26-27 at Texas Motor Speedway and Las Vegas on October 17-18 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where the Series Champion will be crowned.
