Update December 2, 12:44pm: Buffalo Airways released a statement yesterday that said, "Buffalo Airways would like to thank all of it's customers and passengers for their continued support during this unfortunate time. Buffalo Airways will continue to support all of our customers travel and freight needs though chartered aircraft until such time Buffalo Airways has resolved this issue with Transport Canada."

Transport Canada has suspended Buffalo Airways’ Air Operator Certificate. Effective November 30, 2015, the suspension prohibits the company from providing commercial air services. In a statement released yesterday the agency said, "Transport Canada took this serious action in the interest of public safety because of Buffalo Airways’ poor safety record. The department will not allow Buffalo Airways to resume its commercial air service until it proves it can keep its operations consistently compliant with aviation safety regulations. Transport Canada takes its aviation safety oversight role very seriously and expects every air operator to fully comply with aviation safety regulations. When air operators, like Buffalo Airways, fail to comply with aviation regulations, the department takes appropriate action in the interest of public safety."

In what Transport Canada called Quick Facts they added, "Transport Canada liaised with Buffalo Airways throughout the period leading up to the suspension and we will continue to work with the company in the interest of public safety. This suspension took effect on November 30, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Transport Canada does not hesitate to take safety action, which is why the department has suspended Buffalo Airways."
