On Wednesday, August 20th Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) started a nonstop service from Stavanger, Norway to Houston, Texas. The route will operate a business version of the Boeing 737-700 aircraft and will have a SAS Long Haul Business Class concept on board with just 44 comfortable business seats, in-flight entertainment and full-service meals.

With larger fuel tanks and all business class seats it is the only modified 737 in the SAS fleet to fly this route. The initiative is expected to significantly strengthen the economic and cultural ties that already exist within the oil and gas industry in the regions.

There will be scheduled flights six days a week.
