FedEx Set to Take Delivery of Their First 767
FedEx is preparing to take delivery of their first Boeing 767 cargo plane on Wednesday. The Boeing 767-300F will replace FedEx's aging MD-10-30s. Delivery of the 767 will be the next milestone in FedEx's effort to modernize and upgrade their fleet, which began in earnest in 2010 with the delivery of the Boeing 777F.
The 767-300F entered into service with UPS in 1995, and FedEx has only recently decided to add the aircraft type to their fleet.
FedEx has converted four of its 777 orders to 767 orders and expects to receive its 50th 767 in 2018.
