Airlines Avoid Ukrainian Airspace
Following the shoot down of a Malaysia Airlines 777 in Ukraine, other airlines have decided not to route their aircraft over the troubled region.
As flightaware shows, the airspace over Ukraine is devoid of aircraft.
The United States has confirmed that the airliner shot down was, in fact, hit by a missile, radar data shows.
It is unclear whether it was the Ukrainian Separatists, the Russian military, or the Ukrainian military that shot down the plane, killing all 298 on board.
